Our Self Catering Holiday Cottages

There are seven holiday cottages at Kirkwood comprising of two different types.  South Lodge, West Lodge, Roe Deer and Red Squirrel are traditional, two star cottages that are simply furnished, warm, clean and comfortable.  Roe Deer Cottage is graded by VisitScotland.

Otter, Hare and Fox are three star quality having modern interiors situated within very attractive listed, historical buildings.  They are double glazed, well insulated and well finished. Otter and Hare are graded by VisitScotland.

The Stables Courtyard has a laundry with washing machine and a tumble dryer and a communal chest freezer along with rod rests for fishermen.  There is also a games room with a full-sized snooker table, table tennis, darts and exercise machines. There is a small children’s play area. 

Cottage Facilities

The beds will be made up with one sheet, a duvet and two pillows each.  There are spare blankets.  We do not supply bath or hand towels but extra towels can be hired.

All cottages have colour televisions, electric cookers and microwave ovens, fridges (with freezer compartments), electric heaters, electric blankets, toasters and kitchenware to make fully equipped kitchens. The three star cottages have added extras including dishwashers, video recorders, cd players and hairdryers.
